This game came to my attention in the Microsofts reportedly final addition of new backwards compatible games to the Xbox One and Series console libraries. Once I saw that it was developed by RGG Studio and found a secondhand copy for $10, it was a done deal.

Had a damn good time with it too. It reviewed only okay at the time of its release, but I think part of that had to be cover shooter genre fatigue. I think the game felt great to play and had a pretty decent story to motivate the action. I was also able to knock it out in just a few sittings (which I almost always consider a plus).

This one’s now available on Xbox BC, which is great, but it’s also on Steam. If you want to play a good, short shooter with a Terminator-esque setting, you could do a lot worse than Binary Domain.
