This is the second of the games I streamed as part of my October Games streams on Twitch. The first was Maximo Vs. Army of Zin.

I was originally made aware of this game by way of its inclusion in the Astro City Mini. I thought about streaming the game off that device as a fun little thing to do, but I became aware of this Reboot! game not long thereafter, so I decided it was the sensible alternative.

Anyway, it’s very cute! It’s a nice little game about a little witch girl who inadvertently saves the world by defeating a bunch of bad guys in pursuit of candy. The shmup gameplay is hectic and fast-paced. I couldn’t imagine beating this game without credit-feeding like I did. And who cares! I had fun doing it.

Reboot! features an arranged version of the original as well as the X68000 version. I played through the arranged version and enjoyed it plenty, although I will say the screen got a bit busy at times.

Anyway, this is my third GAME CLEAR post in one night. I’m done! Not a lot to say about this one other than to remark that it’s a charming enough shmup to blast through with infinite continues. Maybe I’ll play it again someday and try to limit my continues. Probably not, though, honestly!
