Playing this was only a matter of time after playing the sensational Devil May Cry 3. The time has come, and so have I. 🎵
It was not as good.
But it was still pretty good!
Devil May Cry 4 uses extremely the same formula as the third game, but this time you play a little over half the game as a new character named Nero. He has a magical demon arm! It can grab and throw bad guys.
He spends a lot of the game in pursuit of Dante until he realizes they are not enemies. Eventually Dante takes over as the main character for awhile. Both characters are pretty fun, but I think I prefer Dante. Some of that may just be familiarity.
Gonna keep this post short, which is appropriate because I absolutely blasted through this game in an effort to get to Devil May Cry 5, about which I’ve heard so many wonderful things.
But don’t take that as an indication that Devil May Cry 4 isn’t worth your time. It is. I just wanna play DMC5 while it still has an ember or two of remaining topicality.
I’ll let y’all know what I think.
