Why should I care?
StreetPass is still cool and fun.

Line go up

Okay, look, man. I already explained StreetPass and what I like about it back in GAME CLEAR No. 207.

All that stuff is still true, but I wrote almost 2000 words about F-Zero AX immediately after that, so my enthusiasm to write about this little StreetPass game is diminished. Anyway, I’ll say a couple words, I guess.

Thanks to a bunch of StreetPasses I got at Super MAGFest 2025, I was able to finish Market Crashers. In this one, the Miis you meet through StreetPass act as your investment advisors in your role as a day trader. That is, they basically try to predict the market for you. As with most other StreetPass titles, they are better at this the more times you’ve encountered them on StreetPass (I think?).

Anyway, so basically you watch the stock price go up and down live throughout a market day (which lasts maybe 20 or 30 seconds). You mash that buy button when it’s low and sell your shares off when it rebounds. Once you accumulate a vast fortune of millions of dollars, the game rolls credits and gives you a big gold statue of yourself. Lovely.

It’s a silly game, but it does sort of make me wish I’d bought some more of the StreetPass games when they were available. I guess I can probably hack ’em on to my 3DS now! Maybe I will.
