This one’s a modern classic as far as chiptunes go. Absolutely banging track. I’d considered giving a nod to a Celeste track since that’s my favorite indie game, but none of its music really stuck with me. It was good and fit the game, but it didn’t have staying power with me. Meanwhile, Shovel Knight is a game I had hoped I’d like more than I did, but if nothing else, I absolutely love this this piece. That’s not to say that Shovel Knight is bad. Far from it! It’s a cute tribute to the NES era, but I didn’t love it. Celeste, meanwhile, is an all-timer in my book.
